TEP (Triethyl phosphate- Cas:78-40-0) It is a fire retardant used in polyester, acrylic resin and polyurethane applications. TEP (Triethyl Phosphate) -(C₂H₅)₃PO₄ -is a clear, colorless liquid with a slight pleasant odour. TEP is used in many applications as a solvent, as a plasticizer for hard, refractory plastics, and as an intermediate in the preparation of tetraethyl pyrophosphate (TEPP). It is the raw material of pesticides. It is also a firming agent and stabilizing agent in resins. It is a triester of ethanol and phosphoric acid and may be called "phosphoric acid, triethyl ester".
