DMT-Dimethyl terephthalate, (CAS:120-61-6) Dimethyl terephthalate is an organic compound with the formula C₆Hy (COOCH₃). It is a diester consisting of terephthalic acid and methanol. It is a white solid that melts to give a distillable colorless liquid. It is the main monomer of PET and PBT polymers. The most basic use of DMT is polyester production.
